This website explores the history and culture of Dublin, Ireland's capital city, as it has been immortalised down through the years in various art forms.
It is an independent initiative overseen by volunteers. We welcome input from any quarter - feel free to Contact Us if you would like to participate in some way.
The name of this site is taken from the title of the poem, Dublin Made Me by Donagh MacDonagh, Irish writer, judge, presenter, broadcaster, and playwright. A reading of this poem by Colin Farrell, one of Dublin's many famous sons, is included for your entertainment and enjoyment. Although it has been pointed out (see Two Poems - MacDonagh and MacNeice, 12/9/2012) that the poem itself isn't actually about Dublin, strictly speaking, we feel nevertheless that the title does give a good representation of the theme and purpose of this website.
